The Corporation for New Jersey Local Media (CNJLM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that owns and operates 14 local news websites and five weekly local newspapers serving 52 towns in Essex, Hunterdon, Morris, and Somerset Counties. We provide professional, fact-based, community-driven news coverage that inspires civic participation and strengthens local connections.

Historically, CNJLM emerged from a remarkable effort that brought together NJ public officials, donors, and community members to preserve and strengthen local newspapers across New Jersey. Today, CNJLM carries forward that non-partisan mission by championing innovative, sustainable models for local journalism. Through strategic partnerships and creative approaches—including non-profit ownership—CNJLM is committed to ensuring that professional, community-focused reporting remains a cornerstone of informed civic engagement and democracy.
