CNJLM is currently fundraising to buy the New Jersey Hills Media Group, which owns 14 local papers, including the Observer Tribune, the Madison Eagle, and the Chatham Courier. Under our aegis, the newspapers will continue to provide the wonderful local coverage you are used to, while adding additional types of reporting, improving their websites, and engaging even more with the community.

 

Local journalism is one of the cornerstones of a strong democracy, and we believe that supporting this cause will both preserve and strengthen our local papers, which our special guest former governor Tom Kean called “something that is about as dear as anything we have.”
